For all of you that know me I work at a natural food store that sells things such as groceries, produce, supplements, bulk foods, and already prepared food. There are always new items coming in and I’m constantly finding amazing new products that I of course get curious about. The Califia Farms almond milks and now cold brew coffee is one of those new items that just hit the shelves at my location. I’ve been curious about the almond milks for a couple days now, the bottle just looks so different then the typical milk packaging. However yesterday the cold brew coffee peaked my interest a tad bit more since I’m obsessed with coffee!
Here is a look at the label info for the Califia Farms mocha cold brew coffee:

- Made with almond milk.
- BPA free.
- Carrageenan free.
- gluten free.
- Non GMO.
- Using 100% certified coffee.
- Contains 45 MG of caffeine per serving.
Now let’s get down to the number one concern, the taste! I was pleasantly surprised with this product, it tastes amazing. I was expecting it to either be too strong or too sweet but I was wrong!
It tastes like a mixture between coffee and chocolate milk. It tastes like regular milk even though it’s made with almond milk. Which I think is amazing for any vegans out there, if you are then you gotta try this out. It still has a creamy taste, I was expecting it to taste a bit watered down but again I was wrong. It’s not overly sweetened, it’s just the right balance and has a soft coffee flavor. It’s by no means overpowering in taste, it’s a nice drink to have on a warm day.. I can picture myself drinking this in the summer.
Smell wise, it’s similar to the smell of the Starbucks Frapps. That’s kind of what I based this review off of, comparing it to Starbucks Frapp drinks. I have to say this product is hands down better, not only is it healthier for you but your not chugging down so much sugar in comparison. Also for the price of $8.99 you get 1.4 L of the product, which I think is a great deal!
At the end of the day I would 100% buy this product again! I’m actually curious to see how the other flavors taste in comparison.
